What is a fatigue testing machine?

Fatigue test machines are built to evaluate the strength of raw materials, components or finished products. Fatigue testing machines measure the force put onto the sample over many cycles until the sample fails.

The Foam Fatigue Tester is a single station pneumatic tester. In standard configuration it cycles to constant load but can be equipped with a constant displacement option. It meets the requirements of ISO2439 A, “Constant Force Impact Dynamic Fatigue Testing”.

The PLC based controller with color touch screen display works in conjunction with a 500 lbf load cell and signal conditioner with a proven peak applied force of 750 Newtons (other sizes, rates and peak forces available upon request). The tester compresses the foam to the desired grid of ventilation holes underneath the foam test specimen. The tester is designed for standard square foam specimens.
